The Municipality of Burgos earmarked 280,000 euros to support the local trade

Promotion Plan, valid until 2011, expected to bring new technologies to the sector and invest in quality management

The Municipality of Burgos has given a direct subsidy of 280,800 euros to the Employers Federation of Commerce (FEC) to develop the Plan of Promotion of Trade Near the city, a project runs until 2011, which affect, among other aspects, deployment and use of new technologies in the economic field as a tool to compete with new forms and commercial uses.

The strategic plan of revitalization, which hinges on the cooperation agreement signed yesterday by the mayor and the chairman of the FEC, Juan Carlos Aparicio Ojeda and Jesus, respectively, through the creation of a center of support and development of business, a study to analyze the reality of the sector and its evolution in Burgos and, finally, support for the management of urban environment not only commercial but to the quality of business management. Ojeda praised the act of signing the agreement the "sensitivity and awareness City" on the problems of this sector and the work he does for the whole city. He insisted, furthermore, the "excellent" relationship with the City Council, which translates into a permanent contact and cooperation. "This agreement is ultimately intended to improve the quality of urban life and the citizens."

The chairman of the FEC said that part of the grant was intended, among other initiatives, the momentum of the business research center sponsored by the Federation. "All projects are funded projects that trade can not embark on an individual basis."
Congress
The grant also will go to the municipal organization and the momentum of the International Congress of Trade will host Burgos in 2010, bringing together traders cited several countries and will serve to enhance the idea of the city congress professionals.
