The Spanish Confederation of Commerce (CCC) today expressed his satisfaction with the final adoption of the Law of the Retail Trade, which represents an "important development" for the industry because it will simplify procedures and to "secure the balance" between different retail formats.
In a statement, the secretary general of the SCA, Miguel Angel Fraile, defended the new legislation "will give more peace of mind" from business and noted that the autonomous regions and municipalities are now "those who have the responsibility" to ensure that balance between formats and promote urban commerce and proximity. The executive committee of the organization was present during the vote in Congress, where all groups supported the new rules, except the PP. Fraile applauded the collaboration that has developed between the PSOE and CiU and appreciated "the support of political representatives, particularly the Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade Miguel Sebastian, the new law." The Spanish Confederation of Commerce is composed of 64 federations that bring together over 1,500 regional and sectoral organizations, representing some 450,000 small and medium businesses.
