Castellon City Council has called a new edition of the Innovative Trade Competition, which aims to recognize the use of new technologies and innovation applied to trade in traditional style of the city. Commercial Councillor of the City of Castellón, Marisa Ribes, explained yesterday that the objective "is to reward the special performance of small businesses that have opted for the commercial development and modernization, by improving the technology used, services rendered, new aesthetic concepts, design and presentation of their offer. " The mayor noted that trade is "a major economic base" of the city. In this II Innovative Trade Competition is open to all retail businesses in the capital of La Plana with a minimum of one year. There will be a first prize of 1,500 euros and a second examination worth a thousand euros. Registration is free and being other things, the jury will evaluate the initiative implemented to improve business efficiency through the installation of new technological applications or through any other means that involves a substantial improvement in the development of its commercial development.
