Castellón province has 4531 stores, according to recent statistics published by the Chamber of Commerce of Castellón and refer to this in January 2009.
Of those 4500 stores in all districts of the province, nearly a thousand are located in the capital de la Plana.
The same statistics show that more than 1,700 establishments engaged in the sale of personal equipment (clothing, footwear and accessories), which is the largest activity within the sector.
